Congratulations on taking off into the 2nd year and welcome to the group.
I had a wonderful summer, which included roaming the north of Portugal in the National Park of Gerez, horse riding into Spain, and clambering up rocks and vallies with the dogs. Then wild camping on an island in the Rio Zezere. I learned of a new concept for travellers: Couch surfing. The objective is a better world through making connections between travellers and the communities they pass through. Do check the link and see what you think!
I went wolf watching but did not see any, and considered the controversy of their integration and acceptance into the wild! I have got into reading a specific genre of writing which seems to inspire my writing and travels, and so read in that direction this summer.
I read less than I hoped. My hit this year is "The Wild Places" by Robert Macfarlane. This is an interesting genre of writing - traveller meets place and interacts - not observes. Hug a tree?
To get the ball rolling, the cameras clicking and the creative spirit glowing, let the group know you have arrived by telling us where you have been this summer - the highlights of these last few months. Post a reply.
Looking forward to your being here.

Hey everyone! My name is Tiago, I have two colleagues from last english level, sorry girls, can't remember your names, actually I remember Beatriz, sorry other girl, but I love you likewise, I know you've been to Germany many years and I really like your attitude! ;) Anyway, everyone pretty much spoke about their summer on first class, mine was good, thank you (lol), and I'm really looking forward this english level, specially when Allyson introduced the book we'll be using, it seems dry, like she put it, but very interesting, we'll be working on the very soul of writing! Best of wishes to you all. See ya ;)
... well tiago that sounds very mysterious, don´t you think? Like a mysterious girl or something... but noooo it´s just me, catia... yeah that´s my name! :-)
I tried so open our link a few times but it never worked, thanks allyson for your email.
Well, just to introduce myself to the new guys: I´m Catia, 23 years old, I lived in Germany all my life and moved just 2 years ago to lisbon, where I´m living with my partner! This is actually my third year at FCSH, so feel free to ask my if you have some doubts about our faculty, system or something else.
I´m looking forward to know you better, see you on monday! :-)
Hello, there! This is Vanessa Rodrigues speaking (well, writing).
Finally I managed to find the time to visit the blog. I was starting to think I'd never make it!
I'm looking forward to really start "playing". I'm sure this class will be as interesting and fun as b2.1 and b2.2. If that doesn't happen... I'll want my money back. I'm just sayin'.
ahaaaa! hey guys! I finally got here - both to the class blog ...and to the 2nd year!
Hi Cátia, hi Tiago! how r u?
I'm now going to send our work to Allyson, I couldn't deliver it sooner...since I was really busy this weekend and I thought I'd have it back soon enough to send it friday. Sorry!
See u tomorrow *
Hey. Sorry to use this as a communication with just specific persons but we still don't have the blogs so...
Cátia and Beatriz, I haven't figured out yet if the Information Leaflet is to be delivered tomorrow, Monday the 29th, or not... Coz if you read closely, only the second one as a deadline. Anyway, I did one by myself too, but in case we can still share it and make a new one out of our individual ones, I'll only be able to do the Wednesday class. So please share your e-mails addresses, so we can work a.s.a.p. (a new one I learned, by context: as soon as possible, through an email from Allyson). Mine is bigblackarmour@yahoo.com. Feel free to communicate. Stay well... party on! *** Tiago
Hello everyone! :D
I'm Eduarda (or Barata, whatever you wish!), ready for a new adventure on our English knowledge! Second year started, and I'm all for it!
I hope this blog will be as interesting and fun as I'm expecting it to be!
Lots of sunshine and best wishes to all of you! See you around ;)
